Dates

The fruit of the date palm tree, have been a staple food of many Middle Eastern cuisines for thousands of years. Originated as a cultivated crop more than 5,000 years ago, they are one of the oldest cultivated fruits. While many Deglet dates still come from the Middle East, especially Algeria and Tunisia, today they are also grown in California, where they were introduced by Spanish missionaries in the 18th century.

In addition to their effectiveness as a natural sweetener for those avoiding processed sugars, dates also boast high levels of potassium and dietary fibre, making them excellent for supporting bone and digestive health.

While dates can be enjoyed fresh, many people prefer the rich flavour of their dried form. In addition to improving convenience and changing the taste and texture, the drying process increases levels of certain minerals.

Dried dates are available in several varieties, with flavours and nutrients differing based on where and how they’re grown. Well-known types of dried dates include Medjool , Deglet Noor and etc.

PSFP offers all kinds and ranges of Dates to clients based on costumers’ requirements.
